Vascular Specialist in New York, NY
Elsie Koh, MD, EMHL, is the Chief Medical Officer of American Endovascular & Amputation Prevention and a highly skilled vascular specialist. Her mission is to save patients from amputation by offering cutting-edge, minimally invasive, and image-guided techniques to salvage limbs in patients with critical limb ischemia or severe peripheral arterial disease.
Dr. Koh received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital. She trained as an Interventional Radiologist at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in NYC and was one of a small percentage of women to enter the field of interventional radiology (IR), at a time when only 1% of doctors in the field were women. She has held many leadership positions, including Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) and Regional Medical Officer at Fresenius Vascular Care North America. She also served in the corporate medical office of Fresenius Medical Care North America as a medical officer and consultant to the executive Chief Medical Officer.
Since early 2019, Dr. Koh became a certified leadership coach and founded the LEAD Physician® virtual program, which helps physicians who feel stuck in their position regain their passions in medicine. Through this program, she is helping healthcare organizations and physicians decrease the cost of care, improve patient satisfaction, and decrease burnout for healthcare workers.
While helping physicians find their voice in leadership, Dr. Koh provides high-quality care at all of our affiliated American Endovascular locations. She performs a wide range of endovascular procedures to treat vascular conditions, such as Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), Critical Limb Ischemia, Venous Insufficiency, and Uterine Fibroids. Please schedule a consultation with Dr. Koh today to get your health back on track.
