Dr Shams is the best, he’s not your average Doc. I choose to call him doc he talks to you and he listens and he’s always trying to find a way to work out your situation. Fortunately, our innovative procedures, including angioplasty, atherectomy and stent placement, helps people achieve relief from symptoms and avoid severe complications associated with the later stages of PAD, such as limb amputation, heart attack and stroke.

Each of these procedures are minimally invasive and performed in an outpatient setting. Angioplasty involves the insertion of a catheter and inflatable balloon into the artery to stretch it open and allow blood and oxygen to flow more freely. Atherectomy removes plaque in clogged blood vessels using a rotating shaver or laser. Stent placement is an implantable device that is inserted into an artery to provide a new skeletal framework, strengthening the walls of the artery, and allowing blood and oxygen to flow.
